About Mark Holcomb
Most of my formal education working in the studio or behind the lens was given in traditional apprentice/master relationships, both formal and informal. I began working in the studio of Jürgen Tapprich in Zurich, Switzerland in 1981. During this time I was introduced to commercial studio craft. Upon moving back to San Francisco, I began working with photographers Richard Hixson and Larry Keenan between the years of 1982 and 1987. I began freelance assignment work with adverting agencies in San Francisco and continued to do my Abstract Cityscape work.
I am currently located in the Sacramento Metropolitan Area, little more than a 90minute drive to the San Francisco Bay Area. I am beginning to develop new relationships with the art communities in the region. I am seeking representation/exhibition/gallery venues, licensing and publishing opportunities. I am new to the world of selling photography as art. However, I have a foundation as a commercial art vendor and know what it is like to develop relationships that grow at there own pace and provide value.
I have many open edition prints available through Fine Art America. All commissioned works and fine art editions printing are special orders requiring direct contact to firstname.lastname@example.org or a call to 916.200.6198. Limited Edition/Folio Prints are on 17x22 inch Inkpress archival grade paper using the ImagePROGRAF 5100 Canon pigment printer. Folio Prints are sold as boxed print sets while Limited Edition prints are sold separately: they are signed, marked, sprayed, and then conservation matted.
